Condition Monitoring Technician

Job description / Role

- Measure and analyze the condition of the equipment
- Diagnose problems on rotating equipment. Apply modern vibration analysis methods to analyze and correct the problems.
- Do oil sampling and analysis
- Improve the equipment inspection and maintenance standards

Requirements

- Electrical Diploma holder
- Strong knowledge of vibration analysis and vibration measurements
- Good knowledge on coupling alignment procedures
- Knowledge of oil sampling, testing and analysis
- Good knowledge of thermography analysis
- Knowledge of different types of bearings
- Ability to prepare analysis report

Sohar Aluminium was formed in September 2004 to undertake a landmark Greenfield aluminium smelter project in the Sultanate of Oman and is jointly owned by Oman Oil Company, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC - TAQA and Rio Tinto.
