Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Accountabilities:

•Construct a detailed programmes of over 20 senior level speakers produced on time as per the congress timetable and drop schedule
•For repeat conferences execute and adapt the event strategy from market research to target delegate growth and increase content quality
•Ensure each event meets conference deadlines and target delegate numbers
•Manage and keep within programme budget
•Provide a list of around 20 companies per conference for sponsorship sales
•Maintain high productivity level at a production rate of minimum twelve events per year
•High level of conference execution in all aspects of the production job
•Engage in the relevant social media
•Relevant database management
•Help in writing promotional material with marketing
•Keep up-to-date website content
•Identify new target audience
•Suggest three new conference ideas per quarter

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

•Produce industry relevant conference programmes
•Liaise with key professionals/institutions and companies in the production of conference programmes
•To contact suggested speakers and confirm their attendance
•Effectively research topics with relevant industry professionals and the target market
•Develop new conference ideas and programme content through tele-research
•Provide up to date and useable speaker lists and files for event management to follow up
•Prepare all necessary briefs, conference agenda and CME application forms
•Assist in the provision of leads to the sponsorship team
•Work with the director and other sales team members to produce ideas for conferences
•Identify key opinion leaders/institutions and companies within that area
•Maintain existing and build new relationships to pull together a conference with topics and speakers
•Provide a list of hospitals that are leaders in that area
•Organise hands on workshops alongside our events with companies
•Assist the marketing department in the relevant distribution of marketing materials (e.g. brochures) to companies and departments
•Tele-research programme content and new conference ideas
•Write invitation letters for the conferences
•Liaise and network with speakers at the conferences
•Prepared to work longer than normal office hours
•Perform any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility

Requirements

Minimum Education Level

•Educated to degree level or equivalent

Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential

•Speaks and writes clearly and fluently in English to both individuals and groups
•Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
•Commercial awareness
•Research based role
•Copywriting skills
•Brand and market awareness

Desirable

•Scientific background
•Related industry/event knowledge
•Conference production role
