Job description / Role
ABOUT CLIENT:
An exciting opportunity with an established leading Middle East based National Oil Company, that functions throughout offshore development sites as well as in the shallow coastal waters with a number of productive oil fields.
Purpose and Scope:
Supervises contractors involved in fabrication, construction and installation projects associated with the Companys facilities for oil and gas production, pressure maintenance, transport and export in assigned operational areas. Includes participating with supervisor and user departments in the initial definition and design of required facilities, checking consultants' detailed drawings and other documentation and coordinating mobilization and demobilization of contractors on sites. Supervises construction work, and coordinates other related activities including inspections; materials issue and withdrawal, site administration, relations with operations and safety personnel in the fields/terminal to facilitate access of authorized personnel and materials, monitoring work progress, preparing activity report and vetting contractors payments and preparing payment certificates, as required.
1. Participates in the initial definition and design of required projects in assigned area.
2. Contributes to construction projects tendering and contracting process through participation in defining objectives and scope of works and in answering bidders queries with respect to construction site and available facilities.
3. Leads site tours to familiarize contractors with construction sites, explain available services and facilities. Highlights significant comments or queries made by attending contractors

5. Inspects buildings or facilities upon completion of work and checks for defects or inferior workmanship.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
7 years experience in design and development of capital projects related to systems within the oil and gas industry.
Knows the Company health, safety and environmental policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility, and ensures that they are effectively implemented in is domain.
