Job description / Role
Our company is a general contactor that specializes in residential, commercial and mixed-use projects in Sharjah and Dubai.
We require an HSE Supervisor with a minimum of 5 years experience in local construction projects. This is mainly a site-based position but assistance to corporate management will be required.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide support and advice to construction management team on all aspects of safety during construction
- Responsible for overall HSE on site
- Communication and coordination with site labor to improve HSE culture
- Reviewing work tasks and discussing safe work plans when required
- Preparation, Implementation & review of Company HSE policies, procedures & plans
- Training for Employees & Contractors (Health & safety management system, Induction training, fire fighting, emergency response, first aid. handling of chemicals, root cause analysis, risk assessment. etc)
- Develop & maintain HSE various statistics and create reports
- Monitoring, analysis & record all health data of employees
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role with a minimum of two years locally
- Diploma / certificate from a well recognized HSE program
- Proficient in English (both oral and written).
- Knowledge of safety standards required on high rise construction projects
- Good communication and organization skills are a must.
