Job description / Role
The broad description of the Construction Inspector is to assist the Resident Engineer UG stations by carrying out surveillance for all aspects of health, safety, quality, environment, spoil disposal, logistics issues with high water table and tight construction programs.
His main role is to ensure that the UG stations are safely constructed to the quality, design, technical standards and procedures are adhered to during the construction process. He shall report the progress of all works.
Under the Resident Engineer UG stations supervision he will be responsible of the following:
* Provide daily reports on safety, quality, environment, instrumentation & monitoring & progress regarding UG station construction.
* Ensure that all aspects of health, safety & the environment are monitored & non-conformances corrected.
* Raises observations to report non-conformances.
* Ensure that quality & progress are effectively monitored and tracked throughout the program period.
* Ensure that the UG stations are constructed safely to the highest standards.
* Attends audits & surveillances.
* Attends meetings as needed.
Requirements
Education/Degree
* Engineering degree or comparable Technical Bachelor's degree, preferably with a bias towards underground stations & geotechnics.
Skills/Competencies
* International Experience (Middle-East) of working in Engineering Management Firm or in a construction site environment.
* Excellent oral and written English language.
* Qualified professional working under limited supervision capable of performing general technical works and manages projects or tasks of moderate complexity or less experience staff.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale Infrastructure Projects or Rail Transport Systems.
Other Requirements
* Strong Communication (written and oral) skills
* Resident - Based in Doha
* Computer Proficiency (MS Excel, MS Word and Power Point)
* Auto Cad is desired
