Construction Manager (Mechanical)

Job description / Role

We are looking for a Construction Manager (Mechanical) to work for a main contractor on an EPC Contract in Habshan, Abu Dhabi.

Project:
Oilfield Development Pipeline Project, Habshan, Abu Dhabi

Job Role:
Provide guidance, supervision to construction team and contractors to build safe, environment friendly Surface Facilities in strict compliance with the terms of the contract agreement an Regulation of Oman
Provide construction input for the development of project strategy, deliverables, execution plans, infrastructure, logistics, contracting and risk assessment.
Develop and implement construction procedures and implementation Plans
Evaluate experience and ability of EPC contractors for award of works.
Maintain open communication with construction team, extend cordial relationship with governmental agencies and stakeholder, deal fairly but firmly with vendors/contractors and create impeccable work ethics.
Work closely with Manager Pipelines and CCED Operation to maintain streamlined interface.
Plan and develop an effective organization with particular emphasis to hire and train nationals.
Implement work methods to find optimal and safe solutions and be alert to opportunities to optimize project deliverables.
Work with HSSE organizations to identify and effectively mitigate risks.
Participate/facilitate risk reviews, HAZOPS and procedure development.

Requirements

15+ years Mechanical Pipeline experience.
Broad background in construction of onshore oilfield surface
Strong interpersonal skill and ability to work with a multi-disciplined/multi-culture team and possess clear oral and written communication skills in English.
Accountability within CCED published
Delegation of Authority and willingness to take initiatives and propose solutions.
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, engineering or equivalent.
