Construction Manager Rail
We require a Construction Manager with a strong rail infrastructure background to work on the DOHA Rail programme, Monitoring and endorsing the work of partner companies in the preparation of technical contract data, specifications, drawings, cost estimates for public building & infrastructure projects. Inspects quality and quantity of work of partner companies and contractors, and ensures compliance with specifications, regulatory requirements, quality, time and cost for construction projects.
The Construction Manager will coordinate buildings & infrastructure within the rail contract from Civil Infra Engineering to Build Elements.
Assists the Project Manager to manage project packages, This will include as-built drawings, design data, project contracts, specifications and drawing submittals etc.
Reviews logs and records of work performed in relation to construction management activities. Manages preparation of periodic and special reports as required. Reviews accuracy of reports of contract work and other assigned activities, review progress, performance and completion of reports, purchase requests, requisitions, and reports of claims.
Assists the Project Manager where required to approve payments and reimbursements in accordance with contract terms and conditions. Payment and reimbursements will be forwarded to Controls Department for final payment.
Requirements
- A Bachelors degree in civil, mechanical, electrical engineering or general construction preferably with membership of a Professional Engineering Body, for example, Chartered Engineer, Professional Engineer etc.
- 15 years experience in Civil Rail Infrastructure projects from Underground, Stations, Track side, Power , Signals Interface, Tunnels, Services etc.
- Minimum 5 years experience in project management, engineering, construction, project controls and procurement.
