Job description / Role
WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in the Middle East has an exciting opportunity to join the Supervision team on a major development in Dubai.
To lead a multi-disciplinary site based team generally comprising of but not limited to.
- Construction Planning
- Quantity Surveying
- Architectural
- Structural Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Public Health
- Transportation
- Health & Safety
To oversee Site Construction Supervision Services generally comprising of the following;
- Contract Administration including acting as the Engineer under FIDIC
- Coordination and liaison with the design team
Management of the site technical team overseeing;
- Contractors submittals
- Managing the quality of the construction
- Monitoring progress on site Contract Administration including issuing instructions, cost management, reviewing contractors claims
- Preparation of reports to the employer
Requirements
Degree educated with minimum of 15 years experience in undertaking the role of a Resident Engineer or Construction Manager, 5 years of which shall have been within the Middle East on large multi-disciplinary projects
The role will require the excellent communication skills for the production of reports and chairing of meetings.
You shall be familiar with a tight programme situation, used to dealing with potential claims, and ideally from a structures background.
The role will require the candidate to possess strong leadership skills.
