Job description / Role
Job Summary:
Responsible for planning, directing and managing all the civil work activities and processes
Accountabilities:
Provides operational direction to subordinates regarding the various aspects of civil work activities to ensure professional and timely delivery of projects.
Supervise and monitor subordinates and provide them operational direction regarding various aspects of civil work to ensure that all staff are guided towards achieving departments objectives and business plans.
Oversees and analyses the preparation of manpower and budgets within the civil work projects and recommends them to the Operational Manager, Project Manager for approval.
Monitors and ensures that all operations within the civil work projects are in accordance with the company policies and procedures; any discrepancies are noticed and necessary corrective actions are taken.
Reviews and recommends methodologies, construction plans, resources and schedules for new bids & projects in line with Operation Manager and Project Managers.
Reviews and approves materials and sub-contracting requests in coordination with the Project Managers, Site Engineers and the Technical Section.
Liaises and coordinates with Project Managers and other sections to ensure smooth running and timely completion of civil work of the projects.
Attend meetings with clients and sub-contractors to discuss the progress of project and issues change orders if any, on awarded or new projects to the Project Manager, & Engineers.
Coordinates with Operation Manager and Project Manager in developing and setting up of performance targets for the civil works team and ensures that objectives reflect the organizational business strategies and directions.
Coordinates with the Electrical, Mechanical, Structural and Architectural department manager to see the smooth running of the project.
Requirements
Education, Knowledge & Experiences:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
12 years experience in construction industry, out of which 7 years should be in project management.
