Construction Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

A Planning Engineer determines the optimal sequence of operations on the construction site and at the same time they are responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed within set deadlines, on budget, and in line with all the relevant safety standards and regulations.

Will be responsible for the preparation of the documents of the construction program and keep control updating it regularly trough continuous monitoring site activities, preparing weekly and monthly planning schedules.

Main responsibilities:
- Coordinating information for creating unique Program for individual Projects using Primavera.
- Preparation of Project Budget & Calculation of detailed man-hours, machine hours, etc.
- Resource Loading in Primavera for individual Projects
- Preparation of man power Calculation & utilization schedule
- Updating progress of work using primavera
- Preparation of recovery program to catch up delays
- Preparation of short term detailed schedule based on baseline schedule
- Regularly performs supervisory tasks and are responsible for making evaluation.
- Consider the costs and possibilities of reducing them without compromising quality or safety.
- Determine the best ways to move materials, machinery and equipment between locations, and coordinate all the resources.

Requirements

- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

- Current Location: Qatar
- Language Fluency: English

Specialist knowledge:
- Specific experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Knowledge in construction methodology, construction sequence and production rate.
- Primavera Knowledge.
- Good leadership skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem solving attitudes.
- Technical procedure knowledge.
- Proficient in MS Office knowledge.

Nature and length of previous experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry
