The Role


The Role

We are representing a world class project management and engineering consultancy who are part of a joint venture to build the a major new high speed rail project in the world, running through remote desert area, linking various Saudi Arabian cities and urban areas.

We are seeking an experienced expat rail professional who can act in the capacity of construction manager (Section Project Manager) on the contract. The construction manager will represent the client and have overall responsibility for a large section of the works, managing the contractor to ensure the civil and rail works are completed on time, within budget, and to the correct quality and safety standards.

THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS ESSENTIAL:

Must be fluent English - Reading & Writing, as the contract in in English.

Must have a technical / engineering university degree.

Must have strong management and communication skills.

Extensive experience in construction and supervision of large new build high speed railway projects (not rail maintenance, station construction or underground rail).

Must have experience in desert or remote locations.

Must be prepared to travel single status as this is camp based.
