With the ability to see the broader picture and work out how individual elements should operate as part of an overall aim the Planning Engineer will be responsible for numerous projects from start to finish, working to plan the best and most efficient way to complete projects.
Responsibilities
- Preparation / updating of companys enterprise programme of all running & future projects in Primavera P6
- Review of baselines, recovery and monthly updated programmes
- Review of tender programmes during bidding phases
- Review of Resident engineers weekly reports
- Generating executive summary reports for higher management
- Follow up of issues impacting the projects schedule
- Maintaining a data base of projects progress
- Monitoring and analysing progress & efficiency of each project and reporting to supervisors and managers
- Ensuring extra works (RFAs) are incorporated in programmes
- Updating & maintaining the RFA logs
- Critically analysing projects and raising flags in case of slippage
- Preparation of projects progress monitoring charts for graphical visualization of projects
- Assisting supervisors and managers for board presentations and meetings
- Assisting team and managers as needed.
Requirements
- BEng / BSc or equivalent qualification with a minimum 3 years post graduate experience
- Chartered preferred
- Regional experience preferred
- Experience and proven ability to supervise projects and project team
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office
- Experience of associated discipline software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project.
