The RoleThe RoleSupervise and coordinate activities of civil workers. Inspect work for compliance with company standards. • Manage crews of skilled and unskilled workers at construction sites. • Responsible for the efficient use of labor, machines, and materials by their crews. • Reports to Construction Manager, who is responsible for the efficiency of all the crews on a construction job. • Plan and schedule work and keep records of the materials used and the progress made on a job. • Assure the safety rules are followed. • Communicate company rules and policies to the workers. • Supervisors must be able to read blueprints and plans. • Advise qualified craft workers on the best way to handle certain tasks. • Oversee the training of newly hired laborers. • Give clear work instructions and see that they are followed. |
RequirementsRequirements• At least 8 years experience as civil Works Supervisor for international projects and practical experience in supervision • Experience in the MENA region is highly appreciated • Capability to work as part of a team, leadership skills, sense of initiative and priority, self-commitment ability to meet with deadlines • Fluent spoken and written English and Arabic, preferable with good skills of French • Computer literate |
