Opportunity

Parsons is seeking a Construction Surveillance Technician for the Naval Support Activity (NSA) in Bahrain. Key duties include monitoring and observing construction workers during installation of electronic, electrical, mechanical, or any other type of hostile surveillance monitoring devices into finished construction. In addition, you will need to
understand Technical Surveillance countermeasures, PHOTOINT, IMINT techniques and construction principles and devices, and the types of devices used by hostile and friendly intelligence services for the purpose of clandestine surveillance. This role may screen equipment, materials, and furnishings destined for the controlled construction area, using X-ray machines and other approved methods of examination. The selected candidate must be knowledgeable of all construction disciplines, including civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering principles. You will read and analyze designs and blueprints in English, recognize the architects intended use, write detailed reports, maintain daily logs, and document the analyses of issues, findings, and security situations which require staff action.You will also review construction drawings to ensure all construction performed is in accordance with approved drawings and specifications and have a working knowledge of construction safety. You will also perform security escort and access control related duties.

Requirements

Qualifications - External
- 5+ years of construction surveillance related experience.
- Completion of DoS (SE-630) Construction Surveillance Technician course required and Quality Management (CQM) course preferred.
- Must be able and willing to work in inclement outdoor conditions and stand/walk for extended period.
- Previous experience in Middle East, with USACE or NAVFAC projects highly desired.
- Both US citizenship and Top Secret clearance is required.
- Must have a current passport and able to relocate to Bahrain.
