The RoleThe RoleSite Engineer - Tehran This well respected European design consultancy seeks a Site Engineer to contribute expertise in site management to a large prestigious mixed use build project in Tehran. Anticipated to run for the next 3-4 years this professional will represent the consultancy on site, overseeing the post contract delivery. This team member will be charged with carrying out the following roles and responsibilities: • Ensuring all technical documents of the project are recorded and maintained; • Ensuring site safety standards are maintained; • Day to day processing of information including RFIs, Submittals, shop drawings etc; • Ensuring all elements of the projects are constructed in accordance with the contractual documents; • Assisting Senior Engineers in providing details on site progress and details. Key project roles and responsibilities: • Responsible to the Project Manager/ Lead Engineer for successful delivery of the project including: - Managing, reviewing and monitoring the actual performance of the structural and architectural elements during construction stage; - Ensuring that the site works are carried out in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications; - Ensuring current construction issue drawings are available at site and followed; - Coordinating with the main contractor ; - Monitoring and coordinating the sub-consultants’ drawing reviews; - Reviewing submittals; - Ensuring coordination of information between all parties; - Monitoring the contractor’s daily site activities, including program, labor strength, safety etc; - Resolving drawing coordination, site detailing and site construction methods on a day to day basis; - Ensuring all inspections are carried out at a time requested by the contractor and recorded. |
RequirementsRequirementsThis individual will have approx 10 years consultancy experience, post graduation of a Bachelor of Engineering, with the last 3-5 years being in the Gulf, working on large mixed use projects. With excellent written and verbal English, this individual will communicate professional with local contractors and sub consultants. Proven track record of delivering fast track projects will also be proven. One’s work history will show dedication to previous employers and track record of delivering projects from beginning to completion. |
