The RoleThe RoleMain Scope of Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Support Murex implementation. 2. Responsible for required development and unit testing (plan and execution) of code modules 3. Provide relevant, development, support and assistance to users of the banks information systems when called upon. 4. Analyze system faults or enquiries and pursue corrective actions or provide required information as appropriate. 5. Interprets business requirements and translates them into technical requirements (Business). 6. Liaise with users/other IT staff to formulate requirements and specifications for system based solutions according to the banks needs 7. Prepare technical specifications based upon defined functional requirements. 8. Perform adequate testing of new or amended software developments to ensure the highest level of reliability, stability, accuracy and effectiveness. 9. Assist in the resolution of support requirements & be prepared to be called on out of office hours as dictated by circumstances. 10. Work and liaise effectively with system vendors, bank IT staff and others to ensure achievement of required goals. At all times maintaining a professional image, guarding the banks interest & observing good work ethics. 11. Pursue any other related activities as directed by superiors. |
RequirementsRequirementsMinimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field from an accredited institution. 2. 4+ years of Development experience within financial services as a Murex Developer/support resource. 3. Experience with the following Murex areas (Front-Office, Middle-Office and Back-Office): Murex Technical Architecture, Murex Processing Script Definition, Murex Global Operating Model (GOM), Datamarts and Reporting, MXML workflow, Real Time and the Market Data Cache, Post Trade workflows. 4. Knowledge and experience of Software program MX.3, Core-Module, Front Office Module (e.g. e-Tradepad, FXMM Blotter) Risk Mangement Modules (e.g. Parametric VaR Module), Back Office (e.g. Confirmation and workflow package, Payment module, Accounting, IAS/IFRS) and Collateral Management. 5. Functional knowledge on Treasury products like Foreign Exchange Cash, Money Market, Foreign Exchange Options, Interest Rates Derivatives, Fixed Income, Futures and Options, Repos, Equity and Equity Derivatives, Commodities and Commodities Derivatives, Credit Derivatives ..etc. 6. Knowledge on Shariah complient products. 7. Sound knowledge in Murex MxML Exchange - Configuration of MxML tasks, writing data dictionary formulas using XSLT, and other Murex proprietary coding languages. Knowledge in XML DTDs and schemas 8. Experience and knowledge in Java, C++, C# or VBA programming skills 9. Knowledge of relational data models, database programming on Oracle is preferred. |
