Job description / Role
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Daily supervision of all container movements.
2. Daily study of the container market and research of alternatives in order to reduce cost
3. Keeping records and maintaining the "Shipping Intelligence" database of the Container Shipping Department.
4. Create internal statistics for freights and port/ terminal expenses and thus the final cost of transportation for each and every container.
5. Update and distribute a weekly container market report
6. Public relations with shipping lines and research for new liner services
Requirements
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor or Master degree in Business or economics of shipping
Preferably knowledge or languages in addition to English
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years experience in container shipping.
