Content Executive (x2) - eCommerce - Retail Divisonal Office, Dubai

Al-Futtaim's Retail Division holds a stable of world class brands operating in buoyant markets with huge growth prospects. Some of our brands are Marks & Spencer, Toys R Us, and IKEA as well as Robinsons with a range of smaller brands selected for their appeal to the markets in which we operate. We currently operate our Retail outlets across the Middle East and in South East Asia.

We have enjoyed phenomenal success throughout the UAE, Egypt and GCC countries. We are in the final stages of outline planning for massive growth and need to prepare for the next phase of this program.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Content Executive to join our eCommerce team. Under the direction of the Design and Content Specialist, this role is responsible for digital content writing for one or several brands in eCommerce-Retail.

Key Accountabilities:
- Create compelling content that makes Al Futtaim online stores appear as the online authority in fashion, electronics and DIY.
- Write content that speaks to various client-specific personas and market segments; creating a user-friendly experience for the reader.
- Write marketing text for individual products within agreed Service Level Agreements service levels for all brands for the MENA market. Ensure that copy meets quality and SEO guidelines and is materially different for each brand.
- Update or create landing pages on the site adding the proper links, images, or videos.
- Moderate customer reviews within agreed brand guidelines.
- When required, produce more general (site-wide) customer information such as FAQs, Product Descriptions, About Us, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Help Pages, Projects Articles, News Letters, etc).
- Coordinate and manage content schedule/plan and assets. Execute the content schedule/plan utilizing the content management system (CMS) to upload both copy and content assets.
- Receive information from category and merchandising teams on stock and priorities. Keep informed on products and stock levels of new products ensuring that products are available to go live as soon as stock is available.
- Work closely with the SEO Specialist to produce quality content that will not only appear in search engines, but drive traffic to the site, and convert into sales.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree, or certification, in English, communications, journalism, marketing or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as content writer preferably within an eCommerce organization.
- Excellent English skills (speaking, writing and reading).
- Arabic language would be an advantage.
- Strong copywriting skills gained in a web environment; high standard of written English.
- Strong copywriting skills in a web environment, with a high standard of English and understanding of SEO guidelines.
- Fast and accurate proof-reader.
- Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a software life-cycle.
- SEO Experience would be an advantage.
- Understanding of accessibility issues and solutions, including legal/compliance.
- Attention to detail.
- Target oriented and drive to exceed demanding challenges.
