Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Serve as the point of contact for all internal and external contractual matters
• Coordinate, draft and review the formulation and finalization of all system contracts as required in coordination with management and legal counsel.
• Ensure that all contracts are in compliance with the organization's policies and procedures, as well as, federal government regulations and interests.
• Maintain contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, vendor contact information, contractual changes, status reports, commissioning certificates, payment schedules and other documents.
• Identify and mitigate the organization's risk exposure through contract evaluation and negotiation.
• Provide guidance, recommendations and strategies with regard to contract management and administration of best practice.
• Develop processes and procedures for the management and monitoring of contract performance.
• Liaise with all directorates, legal counsel and vendors, ensuring timely review and completion of contracts.
• Monitor contract compliance including such items as but not limited to milestones, deliverables, invoicing etc.
• Manage and facilitate contract close-out, extension or renewal.
• Facilitates contract training as required.
• Ensures the integrity of data base.
• Develops and maintains executive and management reports for the department and the system.
• Keeps abreast of developments in the field by engaging in professional development activities.
• Contributes to the development of the organization by monitoring programs and identifying areas for improvement; by observing and implementing system-wide policies and procedures; and by participating in extra-curricular activities and community events.
• Travels to attend meetings, workshops and conferences as required.
• Develops an awareness of and respect for the customs and cultures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the management.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years progressive work experience involving contract management and administration, procurement or vendor management
• Working knowledge of UAE and International contract law
• Working knowledge of procurement policies, procedures and government by-laws
• A self-starting attitude, coupled with the ability to work independently on projects
• A detail-oriented approach that delivers consistently high-quality services to deadline within a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work within tight timelines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency of assigned tasks
• A high degree of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to integrate technology in the workplace
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization
• Highly developed organizational, analytical and problem solving skills are required
• The ability to work effectively as a team member in a multi-cultural environment
• A demonstrated willingness to engage in professional development activities in order to develop and improve new and current skills, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization
