Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Participate in weekly meetings with internal customers to ensure everyone is working cohesively.
- Oversee the analysis of contract requests from the user departments and determine the appropriate method of procurement.
- Manage the preparation, processing and compilation of requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for quotations (RFQs) to invite suppliers to submit proposals and quotations in line with internal customer requirements and in line with supplier capabilities.
- Maintain Purchase Requisitions listed under Contract Engineers Purchasing Group.
- Assist End User in the development of an annual Procurement Plan.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers as required and as per the delegation of authority prescribed by Orpic management.
- Process Single Source procurement actions and process Pre-Qualification and Selective Bidding procurement actions.
- Prepare and float Tender documents.
- Proactively appraise customers on the status of their contract requirements and keep them up to date with the latest developments. Also, be reachable to the customers and be visible at the offices of the customers

Requirements

- MBA or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, Business, Engineering or an appropriate degree.
- Professional Certification, MRICS or CIPS desirable.
- 4-6 years of experience in procurement or in a similar industry for technical procurement jobs

Skills:
- Good working knowledge of Contract Formation.
- Knowledge of Orpic Tender Law and Tender Procedures.
- Driving License.
- Good IT skills (SAP preferable).
- Excellent communication skills.

- Knowledge of commercial working.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work on multiple Contracts simultaneously.
- Ability to work using own initiative and with minimum supervision.
- Outgoing personality and ability to deal with technical End Users.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Flexibility to work across a variety of Contract types.
- Ability to challenge End User approaches when not in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
