Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Handling All the Shipbuilding Project Contracts of ESNAAD in close coordination with the respective Shipbuilding Project Manager and reporting to the Procurement Services Division Manager. Obtain detailed scope and specifications of the Project/Vessels proposed for construction after seeking complete clarification from the respective Project Managers. Initiation of the contractual and commercial activity after deciding the Milestones for the project to work within the cardinal dates set for achieving the Milestones. Fully assess the requirement of the end users and criticality of the Project.

Short-listing the approved list of Bidders from the existing pre-qualified list in consultation with Shipbuilding Project Managers/Procurement Services Manager and assessing their commitments and seeking their Pre-Interest in Participation in the Tender to complete the short listing process.

Evaluates claims/requests for Contract variations and maintains follow-up until close-out of contract file.

Requirements

Developing Contracting Strategy with logical and reasonable approach for Shipbuilding Projects and Project Management Consultants for the Shipbuilding Projects.

Pre-qualification of Bidders and Shortlist bidders for Invitation to Tender, ensuring Confidentiality is maintained as necessary.
Keeping constantly updated about the Market Trends and Contractors commitments/ availability. Identifying the Potential Bidders.
Identifying the Potential risks involved in Short listing the Bidders from Risk/ Finance/ Legal angle in addition to their technical capabilities.
Preparation of Tender packages with comprehensive Terms and Conditions, specifications, standard clauses, with required list of Exhibits. Interpretation of Contract clauses / issue Tender Bulletins as necessary. Ensure that Contract agreement specifically covers HSE aspects.

ESNAAD is a wholly owned subsidiary of ADNOC. The facility currently known as Mussafah Offshore Supply Base (MOSB) is strategically located at the Industrial hub of Mussafah approximately 40kms by road from the city center of Abu Dhabi. "ESNAAD" is not an acronym, as the Arabic name implies it means "Support".
