A multinational Company is looking to hire an Arabic speaking - Contracts Manager for their Abu Dhabi operations. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for supplement contract management services and oversee the Management of contract activity in the Middle East.Other important duties of the position will include.Advising the company's senior management on contractual issues arising within the divisions for which the position has oversight responsibility and other special assignments, as required by the Director.Travel to clients' offices or to project site will be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participates in strategic planning activities for specific projects (e.g., risk assessment, bid/no bid analysis, participation in business plan development, etc.)
• Provides contract guidance to assigned personnel, and ensures proficiency and timeliness of contract administration. Assists the Director in recruiting, interviewing, and evaluating prospective employees.
• Collaborates with Division and project management to ensure proper support in proposal preparation, as well as contract negotiations and administration.
• Reviews requests for proposals to identify risks and contractual terms not conforming to Company policy.
• Negotiates the more difficult, complex, or sensitive issues with clients.
• Maintains an active participation in related professional societies to keep abreast of relevant contractual issues.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
• Comply with the Company’s’ OHSE System.
• Ensure QHSE requirements are performed in job-related activities.
• Participate in QHSE audits and workplace inspections.
• Report non conformities and propose corrective actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in discipline area.
• Prefer Master’s Degree in Business but not required.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 5 years contract management experience within a large engineering and construction firm working in the Middle East, or similar experience with a law firm is required.
• Requires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the drafting and negotiation of a variety of contractual instruments, including prime contracts, confidentiality agreements, and teaming agreements.
• Must be capable of independently negotiating the most complex contractual issues.
• Proven ability for managing and directing work involving complex situations.
