Contract Manager/Commercial Manager
Power Project
Southern Iraq
My client, a leading multinational Cost Consultancy has an immediate requirement for a Contracts Manager on a Power project based in Southern Iraq.
The main focus is to have responsibility for the overall cost, commercial management and contract administration for the design and construction works.
Middle East experience is a must and ideally some knowledge in Power Projects with appropriate qualifications.
This position is to be on rotation basis, likely to be 6 weeks on 2 weeks off and based on 6 day working week.
Will be based in a secured camp with accommodation facilities.
Subject to client approval and securing a work visa it is expected that you will commence employment in July 2012.
Requirements
Skills Required:
*Project cost monitoring
*Preparation of tender and contract documentation
*Assist in the Sub-Contractor's tender process and tender analysis
*Preparation and evaluation of variations
*Agree valuations periodically with the Sub-Contractor and agree final accounts
*Commercial Management
*Strong in Contract Management and Conditions of Contract
*Able to prepare and review claims
*Pre-Contract negotiation and Post-Contract management
*Familiar with project controls applications
*Contract Administration
*10 + years post graduate experience
*Undergraduate degree or membership of a relevant recognised International Professional Body e.g. MRICS
*Experience in international contracting mechanisms e.g. FIDIC
*Excellent English-language written and oral communication skills
*Arabic speaking would be an advantage
