Employment: Full Time

Our client is an award winning company and is one of the major International Consultancies who have global operations; they are recognised for their delivery of Project Management, Facilities Management, Contract Administration, Claims Management and Dispute Adjudication. They are looking for a MRICS Charted Senior Quantity Surveyor to sit on a new project that is about to become live. The project is the biggest Infrastructure package that has been released in Qatar and will take 8years to complete. This role would be perfect for someone that is looking to make the move from other parts of the GCC or UK in to the ever expanding Qatar Construction Industry.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Contracts Manager and managing a team
- Implement Technical Systems -show initiative, improve, enforce compliance to systems & standardise application
- Contractual Administration - Assist in claims, queries and contractual matters. Collaboration of information to provide basis on which negotiations would take place with engineers. Follow up & confirm payments (eg. certificates, sub-contractors, suppliers) Final payment Certificates
- Ensuring proper implementation of costing system - Analysing of costing information for feedback to Senior Site Management and site personnel
- To ensure strict compliance with all health and safety legislation to the highest possible standards at all times
- To Provide effective communication to manage and motivate a team including identification of training requirements
- To liaise with internal and external stakeholders and systems
- To maintain strict quality control procedures
- To effectively manage the project ensuring it is completed to programme and within budget
- To ensure environmental policies are adhered to
- To offer the flexibility to adapt to the various challenges the role brings
- To manage the transfer of information throughout the stages of the project
- The management of purchasing and appropriate selection of subcontractors
- To develop and maintain good client relationships
- To measure and monitor performance and ensure team are working to the standards set, including they are following procedures and systems in place

Requirements

- Chartered (MRICS)
- Minimum of 15yrs post qualified
- Experience of Civil Engineering
- Thrive working to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to manage and motivate others
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Good organisation skills (forward planning & prioritising)
- Solid knowledge of post contract experience re-measurements, EOTs, quantum, negotiations and contractual letters and official correspondence to contractors.
- Ideally, they will have a degree in Civil Engineering.
- Extensive experience of dealing with FIDIC Red Book, NEC and JCT forms of contracts.

Remuneration:
This is a full-time permanent position. Excellent package consisting, Housing Allowance, Company Car, Medical, Flights and Schooling
