Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Position Summary:

To provide an integrated commercial service to the Joint Venture and other Company Business Units, including procurement and provision of goods and services, technology contract drafting and negotiation whilst ensuring the commercial integrity of the deal-making process and the protection and commercialization of Company's intellectual property.

To support GTL business development activities in the Joint Venture:
• Management reporting on selected GTL projects
• Gather business information and perform business and techno analysis in support of the companies business
• Participate in the development of alternative GTL business models (e.g. licensing)
• Develop and maintain project knowledge management systems
• Scan the global GTL landscape and evaluate/investigate new business development opportunities
• Engage with potential GTL partners, through handling of enquiries
• Drive and support GTL technology developments from a business perspective

Requirements

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and expertise required (Must)

• Essential: appropriate B Degree (Commercial or Legal) and/or equivalent e.g. B Eng or B Sc degree
• Background in project management will be a recommendation
• A minimum of 5 – 8 years experience as specialist Project Execution Contracting and Procurement environment (at least 3 years in Chemical or Oil and Gas industries)
• Experience with Business Development & Implementation Model (BD&I) experience or similar project execution models
• Knowledge of Convertible Lump Sum Contracts
• Computer literate (MS Word proficiency)
• SAP experience

• Application of the company's business policies, codes of conduct, contracting and procurement models and the Technology Governance Model to the procurement of technology, goods and /or services;
• Preparation, negotiation and conclusion of local and international technology related contracts and commercial agreements on behalf of the Company with specific emphasis on technology commercialization and protection of intellectual property;
• Contract management including SAP vendor registration, approval and release of outline agreements and purchase orders and management of contractual obligations
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic and conceptual environment

• Knowledge related to the energy, GTL industry would be an advantage.
