Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Contract Specialist is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following: Execution of allocated Transport contracts by handling day to day tasks.

Monitor contract communications and liaison between senior vendor reps and senior Supreme contract holders to co-ordinate and deliver positive response meeting all stakeholders’ expectations.

Provide timely solution resolution to vendor invoicing issues
Support vendors in all aspects related to known best business practices, communicate to them and assist in execution by resolving daily issues as temperature abuse, contract compliance, etc.

Support transport vendor compliance with the requirements of transport contracts.

Administration of all allocated contract amendments.

Prepare and participate in high level informed decisions within authority perimeters.

Undertake document control of all allocated contract product and service agreements

Ensure transporters meet all the requirements (as applicable) of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Keep an up to date understanding of competitive market rates for routes across the countries working in.

Participate in strategic negotiations with contractors in order to assure the targeted savings for the company.

Facilitate to Finance and Claims the recovery of the claimed amount from the transporters as per contractual agreement.

Identify high and low performance transporters based on our KPIs measurement and advice about their share in the different contracts.

Be proactive on process improvement suggestions related to CM, as well as KPI focused.

Act as second in command during Contract Manager leave days. Perform any other tasks as requested by the Line Manager.

Requirements

Essential:
Attention to detail Bachelors or higher degree holder

Business to Business (B2B) relationship administration experience

5 years Contract management experience preferably in logistics management environment

Excellent communication skills in English: High level written expression and executive business communication ability

Finance data interpretation skills

Minimum 5 years transport contract handling experience Reasoning ability and comprehension Working to tight time frames and meeting manager's expectations Excellent analytical skills Coordination skills High level negotiation skills Team player Able to cope with high workloads under time pressure.

Desirable:
Time Management skills

Russian, French or Dari language skills High level
Excel and Access MS Office
