Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Technical Group (TG) has been established as the Engineering and Technical organisation for Borouge, which is mainly based in Ruwais. TG is the Engineering and Technical Services organisation and has business process ownership of Asset Integrity; Process Safety Management; Inspection; Project Engineering and Delivery (value up to $50 million); Technical Authority Governance and Support. Additionally TG is the custodian of the Company Technical Standards and Procedures.

Reporting to the Department Manager for Support and Services, under the Technical Services function, your responsibilities will include:

* Developing contracts scope of work and contracting strategy for all the users divisions of Technical Group by taking custodianship of entire Contracting life cycle i.e. from Tendering Process to Close-out.
* Finalizing and recommending potential Bidders List, Contract Strategy, qualification / evaluation criteria, negotiation strategies etc.
* Co-ordinating with and advises Users and Contracts Department on various contractual, Technical and commercial matters of the Contract.
* Evaluating claims / requests for contract variations and maintains follow-up until closeout of contract.
* Handles a business commitment of USD 50 to 75 Million per year.
* Liaise with key stakeholders and administer the contract packages to achieve high commercial standards.
* Providing full support to the Contracts Department in TG contractual matters.
* Liaise with other commercial and technical staff to enhance communication and to identify possible negating issues.
* Coordinating all correspondence to ensure all changes, claims and variations are recorded, scrutinized, authorized and processed in a timely manner.
* Coordinating all progress meetings, allocated to the contract, ensuring timely and accurate minuting and reporting of the meetings.
* Technical Evaluation of the received bids on all packages been carried out as per approved evaluation matrix and send out to Contracts Department on time.

Requirements

As a successful candidate you will have:

* B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Minimum 6 years experience in contracts administration and control in an industrial environment preferably in an oil/gas or petrochemical plant as an engineer.
* Working experience in multicultural/multinational environment
* Extensive knowledge of Contracts and Budgets. Ability to draft contract work scopes independently
* Sound knowledge of commercial practices, legal aspects and negotiation skills. Ability to utilize specialized applicable software package.
* Must have the ability to work effectively with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Preferred SAP.
* High degree of computer literacy in order to create well structured documents, spreadsheets, presentations, proposals and other documents.
* Proven ability to work as an effective team player.
* Ability to work with a good degree of independence.
* Very good reading, writing and communication skills in English.
