Employment: Full Time

Parsons, a leader in many diverse markets such as infrastructure, transportation, water, telecommunications, aviation, commercial, environmental, planning, industrial manufacturing, education, healthcare, life sciences and homeland security is currently looking for a Contracts Administrator in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, drafting, negotiating, and administering prime contracts, subcontracts, and other types of agreements
• Review the request for proposal identify the relevant contractual risks and alternatives for mitigating risk, and present the review to the project team
• Draft and negotiate subcontracts and other contractual agreements. The Contracts Administrator is the primary contact on all subcontract related issues and should advise on compliance with the Middle East procurement process
• Verify that relevant parties are in compliance with the requirements of the procurement policy
• Will get involved with claims preparation, fact gathering, strategizing, research of contract law and other relevant legal principles, drafting of claims documentation, negotiation and settlement
• Responsible for the legal research to ensure the department stays current on UAE and other laws. Review of template agreements and procedures for compliance with UAE and other laws
• Administrative responsibilities such as: maintain and update the Middle East Contracts Database; maintain the contracts filing system; arrange for bank guarantees for Middle East projects and ensure that bank guarantees are issued in a timely manner and update the bank guarantees log accordingly etc

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Business Management or Law
• 3-5 years experience as Contracts Administrator
• Experience in interpreting contracts and dealing with variations, claims, conflicts, disputes, and other contractual issues
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized, effective problems solving and negotiation skills
• English language proficiency
