Contracts Director

Job description / Role

A European power contractor is looking for a Contracts Director to work on large scale power projects in the UAE. The position is based in there head office in Abu Dhabi with regular site visits necessary.

Job Responsibilities
- You will have to manage the complete contracts team and manage the contracts managers take responsibility for the whole team.
- Present and produce updates for the company chairman and project director.
- Take responsibility for the development of the complete contracts department.
- Protect all commercial interests of the company are protected and are the number one priority.
- Effectively manage the complete financial aspects of all contracts produced
- Have final sign of on all company contracts.
- Perform accurate reviews of all contracts managers works to make sure they are in line with company policy.
- When escalation occurs be able to make the correct discussion for the company.
- Have the final say on all contract administration standards, guidelines and procedures.
- Perform all new contracts review from different departments including estimating and tender departments.
- Manage the recruitment of the whole department and make sure all staff is of the correct standard.

Requirements

- You must have a degree in Quantity Surveying.
- At least 18 years experience as a QS/Contracts Manager.
- Have full understanding of prime and subcontracts.
- Strong technical and practical understanding of engineering, procurement and construction.
- You must have experience developing contracts administration policies and procedures
- Preferably 3 + years Middle Eastern experience.

In return you will receive a tax free salary of between 60-80K AED. You will also receive medical insurance and be part of a very progressive organisation in the UAE.
