Contracts Engineer (Drilling / Facilities Engineering)

Job description / Role

Our client, a prestigious name in the Oil and Gas Industry in the Middle East is currently looking for Contracts Engineers (Drilling / Facilities Engineering) to join their team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the Contract life-cycle management and process and has to provide fit for purposeful Company Commitments (Contracts, Purchase Orders and Service Orders etc.) to the SCM Department to meet the specific demands and requests of the Proponent Group.

Responsibilities:
• Contracting Strategy Planning.
• Negotiation of Terms & Conditions.
• Preparation and Award of the Final Contract.
• Tender for Suppliers and Service Contractors.
• Tender Evaluation Models (Technical & Commercial).
• Contract Administration (Amendments, Change orders etc.).
• Provide Coaching and Training to national Contract Engineers.
• Contract Management (Quality of work, Spendings, Timelines).
• Contractor Performance Management via Supplier Quality methodology.

Requirements

• Diploma or University Degree in Engineering, Geology, Law/ Contracts or QS.
• At least 10 (ten) years of experience as an Oil & Gas professional with previous exposure to:
- Drilling or Drilling Engineering / Production Ops / Facilities Engineering
- EPC Contracts (for Facilities Senior Contracts Engineer)
- Contracting and Legal Affairs
- Supply Chain Management
• Background in Quantity Surveying would be advantageous (for Facilities Contracts Engineer).
• Confident decision maker who is able to plan and implement workload.
• Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
