Employment: Full Time

Contracts Engineer
Salary: up to AED 20,000 plus Housing allowance, education allowance and furniture allowance
Location: Abu Dhabi

Our Client, after many years of exploration, has arrived today at their most proud moment of commencing drilling for gas extraction.
Reserves which will produce for the next 30 years and beyond are located in the outskirts of Abu Dhabi
Their parent company is one of the leaders the exploration and supply of Oil and Gas in the UAE
Due to the commencement of operations they are seeking a highly talented professional contracts Engineer to join the team

Responsibilities of the role include:

Liaison with Senior and Lead Contracts Engineers, generate contracting and tendering strategies/plans to achieve the objectives of the end users functional needs.
Establish and justify appropriate bid strategies and thereafter execute the approved strategies
Assist the end user to identify suitable bidders for each proposed tender.
Coordinating pre-bid meetings, site visits and clarification requests.
Where necessary liaise with Senior and Lead Contracts Engineers as well as Companys legal, finance and insurance functions and provide responses to tenderers contractual clarification requests.
Handling bids in accordance with the Contracts Procedure Manual.
Participate in bid evaluations
Prepare award recommendation proposal in conjunction with the bid evaluation team
Ensure complete records are produced and files kept which reflect a clear and complete audit trail of each procurement exercise
Produce procurement activity and status reports.
Generate other reports as required by the Lead Contracts Engineer/Contracts Manager

Requirements

Engineering or Quantity Surveying degree and preferably chartered (e.g. MRICS or CIPS).
At least 6 years experience in procurement of works and services of which at least 3 years should be for the oil & gas industry
