Job Description:

Tendering and Contract

Select the most appropriate type of contractual instrument and its provisions related to the type of required service/material. Drafting of tender board memos, SA memos and contracting strategies in consultation with User department and CM wherever required.
Select the Bidders to ensure best resources, positive response, real competition and fair opportunities to the companies registered.
Prepare calls for tender, contracts, purchase orders and Service orders documentation ensuring that technical specifications are clear and the commercial terms and legal provisions are adequate to safeguard Company’s interest.
Support and assist Senior Contracts Engineer wherever required.
Study and analyse the different technical, commercial and legal aspects of the offers, obtain clarifications, optimise all factors, establish a technical-commercial evaluation, select the best offer and recommend for award.
Prepare award notice and the relevant contractual document, obtain necessary approvals raised and arrange for contract signature.
Administer the Contracts, solve any contractual problem. Arrange for the close of the contracts. Analyse claims raised by Contractors and prepare Company claims in a professional way and deal with both of them till settlement.
Input the company’s ERP and Contracts Management system with requisite contract (CFT register) information as required and maintain/update the monthly reports/database pertaining to contracts/tenders.

Prequalification of Manufacturers and Products
Obtain prequalification documents, review them and prepare a preliminary evaluation report.
Liaise with senior contracts engineer and user department to conduct any lab/field test and to establish a final evaluation and recommend Bidders List category wise.
Input the company’s Contracts Management system with requisite vendor and contractor information as required and maintain/update the quarterly reports/database pertaining to prequalified / not-prequalified bidders list.

Requirements

Candidate should have experience in tendering, evaluation of offers and Contract Administration for exploration/ geophysical services e.g. data acquisition services (2D/3D Seismic surveys, Aeromagnetic surveys etc.), data processing & interpretation services. Basic knowledge of the equipment and processes employed in geophysical surveys will be viewed favourably.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Qualification : B. Sc. in an Engineering discipline 10 years’ experience in tendering and contracts preparations and administration within the Oil, Gas, Chemical or Petrochemical Industry.
