Job description / Role
Main responsibilities: The contracts manager is responsible for the management of specific contracts within the responsibility of the commercial team.
This scope includes but is not limited to preparation and analysis of tenders, drafting of LOAs, post-contract measurement and commercial issues claims….etc.
The contracts manager is to provide professional guidance and assistance in commercial matters to other staff members within the project management team, particularly to the senior quantity surveyors.
To Liaise with Consultant’s on day to day basis / activities.
Prepare Contracts for Sub Contractor works & follow works until completion & certify accordingly.
Prepare Execute, Monitor and control the short and long term goals for the project.
Attend Progress meeting and work closely with the consultant as per Contract Specifications.
Closeout the Project well in advance by covering all aspects from Quality Control, Payments to Handover
The contracts manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Supervising the performance of the contracts team to ensure quality and timeliness in delivery.
Preparing tender / bid evaluations and recommendations in coordination with the commercial managers, quantity surveyors and construction managers.
Preparation of estimates.
Reviewing consultants estimates.
Identifying, documenting and coordinating with the construction managers to resolve potential issues.
Analyzing information, reporting and recommendations.
Contracts administration including drafting of all contractual correspondences on behalf of the client at supervision stage.
Requirements
University Qualifications: Bachelor Degree Engineering
Nature and length of previous experience: Must have an Engineering degree or Bachelor Degree or similar).
Must possess UAE experience around 10 -15 years of total experience
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills.
