Employment: Full Time

The Contracts Manager serves as the leader of the contractual engagement with the contractor during construction for a major project whilst managing key areas of risk and applying excellent contractual and commercial practices. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for leading all contractual discussions and advising the client on the most suitable strategy and implementation approach.

With an excellent track record as a Contracts Manager with major projects, you will be looking to take up this key role on one of the most challenging and iconic schemes in the region. The appropriate candidate must be capable of engaging with the client at high level and facing off against the senior contractor leadership.

Requirements

- Working for or previously worked with an internationally recognized consultancy.
- A minimum experience of 10 years in the preparation of contracts and contract administration/management.
- Experience in multibillion dollar programmes or projects.
- Degree qualified in Science, Engineering, Law or Business Administration.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of Government Tenders and Procurement Law and its implementing Regulations.
- Experience in Claims, Counter Claims and with strong negotiation skills.
- Expert knowledge of relevant forms of contract with FIDIC experience essential.
- Demonstrate ability to lead on all contractual aspects while working within a wider programme team.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and feed into a coherent and logical contract document.
- Chartered by internationally recognized institution.
- Excellent communications skills in both Arabic and English.
