Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Manages the Contracts Management Group to define staffing assignments and re-assignments as project needs arise and to set project priorities.
- Responsible to provide senior-level guidance to assigned personnel, and ensures proficiency and timeliness of all contract administration functions in conjunction.
- Responsible for the development, review, and maintenance of the Contracts Management Plan and provides updates to the Project Management Plan.
- Collaborates with client and management consultant to ensure proper support in proposal preparation, as well as contract negotiations and administration.

Requirements

- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field from an accredited internationally recognized university with minimum 20 years prime contract administration experience related to roads, highways, transportation projects within a large international engineering and construction firm is required.
- Must be Chartered (QS) by a recognized international body such as Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
- Proven ability to perform independently in a contracts managers role, possess excellent written and oral communications skills, and have a thorough of industry practices and regulations related to contracts and their negotiation, experience in construction contract administration, understand / comprehend Terms and Conditions, the legal issues, be able to interpret and understand contracts, must be very organized, must have effective problem solving, and negotiation skills.
- Requires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts.
- Must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.
