Job description / Role
A contractually aware candidate from a Quantity Surveying background is required to take up the position of Contracts Manager for a leading Main Contractor on a major roads project in Doha.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Manage a Main Contracts team responsible for the Main Contract, subcontract, and sub consultant and supplier payment processes.
Manage notices and the accumulation of records and pricing data and coordinate with claims specialists
Advise colleagues on the interpretation and consequences of contract documents, correspondence etc
Draft subcontract/sub consultant and supplier documentation
Assess / administer bonds / guarantees, insurances and warranties
Requirements
Previous experience as working in a senior commercial role on contracts worth close to or over US $250m is desired
Candidates with a heavy bias towards working in relevant job roles for a reputable main contractor is desired.
Membership of a professional body such as the RICS is preferred, but not essential
Relevant working experience including extensive contract administration, and negotiation
Degree (or similar equivalent) in a relevant subject such as Quantity Surveying preferred
Previous experience of working in the Middle East is also preferred
