Contracts Manager (Western Educated) - Construction - Qatar

My client is a leading international main contracting company with an impressive portfolio of projects throughout the Middle East.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Manager to join their team in their Qatar operation.

Reporting to the Executive Commercial Director and leading a team of 8-12 staff, the Contracts Manager is responsible for:
- Subcontract Management
- Change Management
- Claims cost and time
- Head Contract Variations
- Provisional Sum reconciliation
- Value Engineering
- Actively investigate value engineered alternatives in conjunction with subcontractors.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree is preferred but this is not essential
- Native English speaker/ western educated candidates
- 10-15 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in working for reputable main contracting companies in the Middle East
- Fluent in English, excellent communication skills. Able to communicate effectively within a multicultural environment
- Sound commercial and contracts management skills and experience
- Experience in working on high value civil projects
