Contracts Manager

Job description / Role

We are currently working with a reputable PMC organisation who are looking to employ a Contracts Manager to be Based in Kuwait. This organisation employs over 25,000 people in over 30 countries worldwide and has a strong presence in Kuwait.
The right candidate must possess a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited university. The right candidate will also possess a minimum of 25 years of industry experience, with at least 8 years of experience in refineries and the petrochemical industry.

Requirements

Responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing content and prepare and issue monthly Commercial Executive Project Report to the client.
• Maintaining company contract commercial records and files in readiness for the client or government agency audit.
• Reviewing all EPC tenders before release to market.
• Reviewing all EPC contracts before award and signature.
• Reviewing all subcontracts prior to and after award by the company to financial closure.
• Setting contractual direction for Assigned Project Commercial Administrators.
• Directing the preparation of EPC contracts.
• Directing commercial aspects of EPC contract tender evaluation and award recommendation including any necessary presentations to tender boards etc as required by the client.
• Directing EPC contract variations and claims to resolution in conjunction with the clients’ contracts and commercial personnel and package contracts managers.
• Participating in key customer reviews and meetings as required.
• Participating in regular EPC contractor progress and commercial/contracts meetings.
• Participating in regular PMC Project reviews.
• Participating in Project Management Plan reviews.
• Providing leadership, guidance and direction concerning all facets of contract administration.
