Contracts Manager
Salary 20,000 AED --Depending on Experience
Our client is a Growing EPC Specialist who has some major projects and are currently in need of a Contract Manager to join their team.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for pre award and post award contract management activities on large scale contracts for EPC projects and have significant, established experience in all aspects of the contracting lifecycle.
Construction Contracts Managers oversee projects from the start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within its budget. As a contracts manager, you could be working on a wide variety of EPC projects in the O&G sector.
Essential Job Functions:
• Development of contracting strategies/risk assessment
• Prequalification
• Formulation of tender packages
• Bid evaluation, conditioning and negotiation including terms and conditions
• Contract formulation
• Claims prevention and post award management
• Candidates should have a thorough and in-depth understanding of Lump Sum, Unit Rate and cost reimbursable contract formats. An extensive knowledge of cost control / reporting and change control is required.
The successful candidate will interface with subcontractors, construction, project controls and project management teams, as well as having an interface with key clients.
Arrange, Participate in Project Kick-off meeting and Contract Review
Participate in the Planning and Scheduling.
Monitor the Engineering progress, address shortfalls, develop recovery plans and ensure plans made are implemented.
Ensure that Engineering deliverables generated by the Engineering team meet the Project requirements in terms of technical content and follow Project specific procedures.
Conduct regular Project Review meetings and record, circulate all minutes as per project needs.
Ensure that Interface items between disciplines are addressed.
Act as the interface between the Engineering team and the Project Management team and ensure.
Smooth transfer of information between the two.
Requirements
Qualifications/Skills Required:
Master degree in engineering
10 Years of Work Experience in EPC Projects for Oil &Gas; out of which minimum 5 years in a Contracts management.
Significant experience with large EPC style Engineering Projects.
Excellent coordination, monitoring & supervisory skills.
Complex Problem Solving, Analytical & Decision Making Skills.
Ability to lead the team.
Cost conscious and awareness.
Client relationship management.
Knowledge of International specifications and codes.
Knowledge of Project Management Software.
Knowledge of Detailed engineering
