Due to continued success in the country we are now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager/ Specialist to join our already established commercial team in Abu Dhabi.

The Contracts Manager/ Specialist is responsible for the complete management of contracts/ procurement functions of a project specific contract/ procurements team, reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager/ Specialist and overseeing the Tender Administrator, and Cost/ Price Analysis in their project delivery.

The Contracts Manager/ Specialist will hold the following duties and responsibilities:
- Preparation and execution of supplier pre-qualifications
- Preparation and compilation of tender/ procurement documentation
- Contractual recommendations on contract wording and amendments proposed by suppliers
- Preparation and financial analysis of tenders
- Preparing tender / bid evaluations and recommendations
- Provision of all the technical data to stakeholders to be included in the projects reports and such other reports, exercises or investigations required by the team or client.
- Establishing and maintaining consistent and adequate administration procedures
- Identifying, documenting and coordinating with the stakeholders to resolve potential issues
- Analysing information, reporting and recommendations
- Participating in all order negotiations
- Ensuring that all stakeholders, such as administration, operations, and finance understand and adhere to contractual obligations; and reflecting them accurately in forecast
- Client facing and leading procurement meetings
- Insurance, guarantees and bonds management
- Monthly reporting and presentations

Requirements

- Qualified with a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantity Surveying and/ or Law or similar from an accredited internationally recognized institution or university
- A Chartered Quantity Surveyor or similar with a recognised international body (RICS or equivalent)
- 8-15 years experience, preferably in rail, infrastructure or buildings and 5 years in Middle East
- Excellent and demonstrable contracts/ procurement management experience
- Be able to provide both summarised and detailed reports, on current activities and ability to present directly to the client
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Able to act on own initiative and proactive way
