Job description / Role
KEO International Consultants is a highly ranked and award winning planning, architecture, engineering and project and construction management firm with offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Bahrain, Dubai, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Our clients entrust KEO with the major projects that will shape the future face of the country and the Gulf region. This is an opportunity to join us and take up the varied role of Contracts Specialist within our Claims Management and Dispute Resolution Services Department in Doha.
The principle activities of Contracts Specialist include but are not limited to:
Advising and protecting KEO on claims and contractual issues including; bonds, insurances and indemnities.
Internal review of all Client appointments.
Negotiations with Clients, Consultants and Contractors on contract terms and conditions and on all project related issues of contractual significance.
Undertake claims management and dispute resolutions services both to KEO and external clients.
Business Development of the services provided by the department.
Requirements
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who are able to demonstrate experience in the following:
Strong experience and capability in a wide range of Consultant Agreements and Construction Contracts including FIDIC.
Good experience of procurement methods for large building and civil engineering projects.
Claims and Dispute avoidance and resolution.
A minimum of 7 years post qualified experience
For this role you will ideally have a Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering Degree and/or hold a professional affiliation and full membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and/or Chartered Institute of Arbitration (CIArb). A Post Graduate Law qualification or LLB in Construction Law is highly desirable.
