Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Contracts Specialist main responsibility will be the administration and management of all contractual matters relating to a water/wastewater construction program in Saudi Arabia.

- Management of all contractual issues related to the contract
- Prepare, Review & update compilation of tender documents
- Ensure the clients interests are protected well in the tender & contract documents
- Review and report all contractor claims and variation orders
- Review monthly progress payment certificates up to final accounts
- Contractual legal advice to NWC managements as necessary
- Monitoring the Insurance, guarantee & warranty requirements
- Early identification of Contractual issues & Notification
- Preparation of Contractual Agreements, Draft MoUs, JV Agreements
- Claims management/avoidance
- Contract administration, contractual correspondence

Requirements

- Degree qualified - BSc (or HND) in Quantity Surveying/Civil Engineering; Post-Grad education in Contracts and Commercial Management (or relevant)
- Minimum of total 12 years experience; 10 years international experience (10 years and 7 years respectively for PhD holders)
- Experience in contract administration, contractual correspondence, notices, guarantees, warranties, defect liabilities
- Well experienced in claims avoidance, preparation and defence claims
- Chartered in any of the following: Charted Quantity Surveyor, Chartered Arbitrator or Chartered Builder
- Professional Membership: RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIArb
- Well experienced with FIDIC
- Strong communication skills in English and Arabic; both written and spoken
