Employment: Full Time

Allen & York are currently recruiting a Contracts and Procurement officer for a key Abu Dhabi government client.
 
Reporting to: Manager of Contracts and Procurement
 
Basic Purpose of the role:
Implement activities concerned with contracts for purchase for products and services for the organization

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Responsibilities:
 
- Implement supplier and outsourcer guidelines, obligations and service level agreements for the organization.
 
- Ensure all purchasing policies and procedures are reflecting in contracts the organization enters with specific vendors, in conjunction with division specific requirements.
 
- Reviews bids from vendors for conformity to contract requirements and identify and recommends s acceptable bids in coordination with Contract Specialist and First level officer, Procurement
 
- Participate in interviewing, identifying and qualifying potential vendors and suppliers in order to secure more cost effective sources of products and services.
 
- Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions of sale and warranties of goods and products with key suppliers and vendors.
 
- Prepare bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required.
 
- Actively participates in designing of RFP's and RFQ's with First level officer, Procurement and works closely with other divisions to gather all required information for drafting RFP or RFQ.
 
- Request amendments to or extensions of contracts.
 
- Act as liaison between the organization and suppliers / vendors.

- Maintain contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract
correspondence, contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all orders or projects.
 
- Carry out contract close-out, extension or renewal.
- Attend assigned meetings, committee meetings and conferences, as required.
 
- Ensure self development, training and on time completion of appraisals to raise competency, effectiveness and performance levels.
 
- Develop a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.

- Follow Human Resources policies and procedures for all people management aspects such as leave processing, recruitment, termination, disciplinary procedures, training, performance appraisals, and other similar related responsibilities.
 
- Keep abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues, through continued education and professional growth.
 
-Perform any other related activity as directed by Manager - Contracts & Procurement

Requirements

Qualifications:
- University Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or Purchasing.

- Fresh Graduate in in product management and/or purchasing, preferably in a similar industry. bilingual with proficiency in English and Arabic.

- Previous experience in the skill set is preferred
