Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Able to draft moderate to complex, non-routine contractual instruments.
• Working to excellent knowledge of corporate policies and procedures, coupled with ability to identify required improvement to established policies.
• Working to expert knowledge of PASS contracting concepts, applicable public contract law and regulations, and applicable international contract law.
• Detail oriented with strong to excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills.
• Good presentation, leadership and team-building skills.
• Use of independent judgment and creativity applied to resolution of contract issues.
• Ability to interact with all business groups (e.g. commercial, manufacturing, and technical groups) as well as senior management and legal for development and execution of contracts
• Ability to develop a good understanding of Company’s products, customers, and markets.
• Ability to educate others on Company’s contract policies and on elements that are crucial in the development of contracts
• Excellent internal and external negotiation skills.
• High level knowledge of International contract law (preferably at law degree level), or BA/BS Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience which has included contract law knowledge and experience.
• Understanding of cost elements associated with the preparation of cost proposals
• Extensive experience in negotiating contract price and terms
• Minimum 4 to 7 years of experience in Contract, preparation , administration and pricing in a manufacturing business
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project)
• Advanced Degree and Professional Certification, preferably as a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) are highly desirable.
• Extensive experience interfacing with other departments within a manufacturing company
• International experience preferred
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 5 -10 years experience within a process engineering environment in the relevant industry.
• Experience of process design and engineering.
• Liaison with outside agencies including suppliers, customers and main contractors.
• Communicating at all levels within an international organisation.

Requirements

• Review and draft complex contracts and prepare specialized and/or non-routine response for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
• Analyse significant, and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions aligned to corporate policies and business unit procedures.
• Negotiate and review commercial elements of contract.
• Provide contractual guidance and training on contractual issues to shared service and business team members.
• Manage contract change control process in PASS MENA.
• Manage existing contracts and their renewal
• Develop negotiation strategy and lead negotiation team on complex contractual issues.
• Analyse new law, regulation and contract trends for potential impact on business unit goals and objectives.
• Function as expert on area and issues related to international contract law.
• Provide authoritative guidance to internal business teams on corporate goals and objectives relating to contract activity.
• Focal point for all communication with legal, finance and business team disciplines for resolution of contract issues and disputes.
• Assist in identification, development and implementation of new contract policy and processes.
• Provide progress reports on contact activity when requested by business leaders.
• Responsible for training others involved with contracts in PASS MENA.
• Develop format and checklists for common tasks to streamline activity.
• Have a general understanding of the business case and an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications.
• Identification of contractual opportunities and risks
• Provide all relevant stakeholders with needed information
• Training of PASS personnel & personnel from other Depts (Sales, Marketing, PASS Operations & Engineering) in respect of Contractual Issues
• Communication with internal and external stakeholders on all levels
