The Role


The Role

A new position exists for a Control and Instrument (C&I) Engineer to join a leading petrochemical company in Saudi Arabia who manufacturers and markets various petrochemical products to a wide customer base, through its various affiliates.

Serving within the Engineering & Technical Services Department, the Control and Instrument (C&I) Engineer will provide direct in-plant engineering support to Manufacturing Units by assisting as Instrument Technical Advisor for the solution of Operational problems, abnormal incident investigations, equipment failure investigations and capacity improvement initiatives.

Being involved in developing new strategies to enhance production and implement changes in the control system configuration the Control and Instrument (C&I) Engineer will develop revisions to existing PLC programs, document programming changes, and then implement PLC programming changes on PLC systems.

Requirements


Requirements

Interested candidates must come from a process plant environment with OSHA 1910 Process Safety Directive experience, including experience implementing Mechanical Integrity, Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR), and Management of Change (MOC) programs. Must have experience with flow, pressure, temperature, and level transmitter sizing and selection as well as hands-on experience with PLC programming for Modicon, Hima, GE, Siemens and /or Allen-Bradley. Working knowledge of IEC 61511 and Process Safety Shut Down systems, SIL levels, and probability of failure on demand calculations is required.

Degree in a discipline related to Measurement & Process Control, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent course of study
