Employment: Full Time

Our client, a large multinational company is currently recruiting for a Controller/FP&A - Middle East and Africa Region. This position reports to the Finance Manager - MEA.

Responsible for financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP for corporate reporting and IFRS for local statutory reporting, ensuring a secure and robust internal control environment in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley regulations, forecasts of entity cash flows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the monthly close process ensuring timely and accurate submission of data and accounts in accordance with US GAAP and Company's Corporate Accounting Policies
- Ensure compliance to financial reporting standards by reviewing the financial reporting treatment of events and monthly review of balance sheet reconciliation Follow up on timely clearance of required adjustments and dated items
- Perform any supplemental period-end procedures and group reporting requirements
- Perform review of customer contracts and adherence to revenue recognition guidelines and ensuring compliance with the directory of signatories
- Manage and ensure timely completion of annual financial accounts audit including preparation of accounts and schedules and tending to queries raised by auditors
- Complete and maintain internal control processes allocated to controllers
- Monitor and assess the annual completion of internal controls assessments (FCM documentation) by process owners. Ensure key controls are being executed in compliance with SOX frameworks
- Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts supported by periodic balance sheet and P&L forecasts
- Assisting FM in the monthly payroll process
- Liaising with the Credit and Payables teams to ensure smooth operations for the entity overall
- Preparation and consolidation of monthly financial reports of key geographies within MEA
- Monthly estimation of volume, price, revenue, margins and SG&A for reporting to Regional Office in conjunction with cluster Business Managers and Supply Chain Manager
- Business case preparations and evaluations
- Gross margin analysis review abnormalities and understand reasons for deviations
- Pricing analysis and approvals of price changes
- Ad-hoc analysis and reporting
- Preparation of Annual Operating Plan/ Budget for following year
- Support key Strategic Product Group Managers for financial issues
- Monitoring of rebate plans with distributors

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Finance & Accountancy as a minimum
- Ideally studying towards ACA, CPA
- Minimum 4 years Controlling experience gained in a Big 4 or large MNC
- Minimum 2 years FP&A experience
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency
- Familiarity with SAP
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Methodical in assessing risk and recommending solutions
- Ability to collaborate in a team but also work autonomously and independently
