We offer a multi disciplinary service providing innovative solutions in all areas of the built environment. The Doha Building Services team is currently involved in numerous exciting projects across a large number of market sectors. From our offices in Doha we also offer technical support to our worldwide offices and clients.

As an integral part of the Building Engineering Practice Area; the Building Services Group operates throughout the Middle East and Internationally to provide a comprehensive design service.

Services include feasibility studies; energy studies, renewable energy solutions, passive energy saving designs, HVAC, lighting, HV & LV electrical design, public health, and LEED assessments, building simulation modeling. Across the full range of Building Engineering projects.

Key role objective The principal function of this position is to: The successful candidate will be working at a similar level in their current organisation, and be familiar with leading and running structural engineering projects across a variety of market sectors.

The principal function of this position is to: The successful candidate will be working with a team of multi discipline engineers providing coordination and graphics support in the process of securing and delivering building engineering projectsThe successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
A strong commitment to design communication skills including 2D and 3D cad using autodesk software.
Demonstrate an ability to draw freehand simple diagrams and perspectives.
Demonstrate a track record in using computer generated visualisation software including sketch up and other equivalent programmes.
Demonstrate a track record in producing attractive imaginative images for presentations and brochures using software such as photoshop.
A high level of experience in design coordination of engineering and architectural elements and able to develop drawings and sections to communicate complex engineering issues.
An ability to provide creative input in the preparation of drawings, presentations, brochures and proposals to support the engineering team communicate with Clients.
Work in a multidisciplinary design team to successfully deliver multidiscipline and sustainable solutions for building projects.
An interest in building design and demonstrate an ability to work from first principles to deliver best solutions to meet Client needs.
Be able to interface and work with Clients, contractors and suppliers through the normal project cycle to develop system design.
Experience in planning and organising project work to ensure the correct product is produced in a timely fashion within agreed commercial parameters.

Key areas of responsibility The priorities of this role include:
Report to the Team Leader Building Services (Dubai).
Work with discipline engineers and the engineering CAD team to develop a strong Client focused brand based on the quality of our work.
Possess strong communication skills with Clients and other project team members.
Work with the team to deliver imaginative and innovative design solutions.
Be required to manage their own time and support other team members.
Be required to work with senior staff deliver high quality work to a programme and run an efficient and effective team.
Be highly motivated and focused on a successful win- win outcome for the company and our clients.
Be highly organised and maintain various management systems to proactively manage projects.
Be an effective and inspirational member of the team providing technically correct and visually inspiring material to our Clients.
Be a good communicator in both written and oral form. Be able to produce creative reports and documents using freehand sketching and other graphics software.
Be a good team player who understands the need to share knowledge and skills
Ideally qualified or part qualified in a professional building related discipline.

Be able to demonstrate a personal commitment to technical and career development.
Demonstrate a sound technical knowledge and be able to able to apply appropriate and cost effective working practices.
Be able to organise both their own workload.
Competent in the use of industry standard software and Microsoft office suite of software.

Minimum qualifications
Ideally a relevant building design related qualification in either CAD or Architecture.
Relevant working experience at a similar level in their current organisation is essential.
