The Role


The Role

Core Consultant tasks are varied and can include CS / PS Core Network audit, requirements analysis and design of CS / PS core networks, capacity expansion plans, network upgrade and evolution, performance analysis, CS / PS Core optimization, Signaling and Trunks analysis, interface analysis using protocol analyzer.

The candidate must have the ability to do a full assessment of the current status within a network, and make recommendations for proposed improvement.

2G and 3G Core Network expertise, - Direct expertise in the analysis, design, dimensioning, rollout, auditing, and optimization of 2G/3G CS /PS Core network including the network elements (MSC, Call Server, MGW, HLR, SGSN, GGSN, NGN). - Hands-on experience from 2G and 3G Core Networks - strong GSM, GPRS, UMTS system knowledge.

Specialists in either or both areas (CP or PS) are welcome to apply for this role.

Professional experience: Minimum 10 years working as a technical expert within mobile networks.

Personal skills: The candidate must be excellent in dealing with customers and must have a good ability to report and present recommendations or strategies to higher management level.

This role requires extensive travel and the candidate must be willing to travel to project sites as required in Africa and Middle East regions.
