Core Network Optimization Engineer - Ericsson

Job description / Role

- Core Optimization Engineer will be responsible for Mobile Core Network analysis, on demand monitoring, studies, support relevant Ericsson and customer teams and develop team reports and tools. Required skills and activities should include, but not be limited to:
- Prepare Ramadan and Hajj Plan (requirements and expansions needed for different Ericsson Nodes (Licenses, interfaces, processors, routing and contingency plans).
- Prepare, update and use required reports to monitor and analyze network during special events, disasters and needed network activities.
- Develop needed network KPIs and capacity Audits under 2G/3G/4G technologies within CS/PS/IN network.
- Routine (Periodic) Capacity and Performance data analysis, degradation diagnosing and resources usage balancing and optimization (i.e. licenses/interfaces/processing ...etc.).
- Mobile Network basic configuration and timers audit.
- Apply needed analysis for new projects, features and network activities and conclude relevant recommendations.
- Support core optimization related requests from different teams (i.e. Design, solution, optimization, project, back office... etc.).

Requirements

- At least five years of experience in Mobile core network including 2 years Core Optimization.
- Mobile Network Telecom Technologies 2G/3G/4G
- Ericsson CS Core MSC-S, MSC-BC, STP, MGW, HLR-FE, HSS-FE and CUDB.
- Ericsson PS Core SGSN, MME, GGSN, EPG, SAPC and Smart Edge.
- Ericsson IN CCN, SDP, VS, AIR and IVR.
- Basic experience in RAN 2G/3G/LTE Prepared (also subject responsible if other) No. Approved Checked Date Rev Reference
- Experience in essential Telecom signaling protocols (i.e. ISUP, BICC, MAP, CAP, SIP, H.248, IP...etc.)
- Understanding of Mobile Network different interfaces (i.e. Iu, A, Gx, Gy, S1, S5, S6a, SGS, Gi, ...etc.)
- Experience in mobile network different call flows (CS/PS/IN).
- Growth analysis and forecast skills for subscribers and different mobile network different traffic types.
- Advanced analytical, planning and proactive skills.
- Business Object and Proptima.
- Basic MSC MML and OPS.
- SQL experience for needed data collection, processing and analysis using database.
- MS Office (Excel, power point, word) including formulas handling and basic macros.
