Job description / Role
Leading UAE-based Bank is currently expanding its Wholesale Banking division. There is a need for high-calibre and experienced Credit Analysts to join the business, assisting team members in managing certain existing asset portfolios, conducting financial due diligence, preparation of high level credit applications and reports and monitoring allocated portfolios
Accountabilities:
- Responsibility for an allocated portfolio of Corporate Clients
- Undertake risk analysis on new and existing transactions
- Monitoring, management and reporting of customer positions including excesses
- Liaison with internal departments - Legal/Documentation, Operations, Compliance, Market/Country Risk, Front Office, Management etc
- Liaise with clients and potential clients to test and authenticate the information supplied with a view determining a sound credit opinion of the risks involved
- Detailed credit analysis of financial information including published and management reports, financial models and appropriate sensitivity scenarios
- Management of the credit relationship for a portfolio of clients, including completion of annual reviews, due diligence and review of management information
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelors degree from a recognised institution
- Ideally two years of relevant Corporate Banking and Credit experience (4 years for an Associate Director position)
- Must be highly numerate, with a high level of experience in credit analysis
- Understanding of transaction and security documentation and the implications with regard to the Banks ability to take action
- Good level of competence with Microsoft Office and other relevant applications
- Sound interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work to tight timescales under pressure
